Arc Magazine on bright ideas for innovation space Spielfeld Digital Hub. For the lasted issue of Arc magazine, Editor Matt Warring talked with us about how lighting can be an enabler in innovation spaces.

Our lighting solution is an infrastructure which they can adapt and expand. We carefully selected positions of tracks and spots and choose elements that are compatible with a wide variety of brands to allow for expansion in a later stage. The dimming system works over Bluetooth allowing the user to set profiles and give access to different people. They can dim the light or set scenes.

Our lighting installation, Your Point of View, is part of the 100 year birthday celebration of Bauhaus.

The light installation “Your Point of View” will be presented at the festival center at Ernst-Reuter Platz exclusively for Bauhaus Week Berlin.

Een carrière als onafhankelijk lichtontwerpster. Niet meteen het antwoord dat je verwacht als je aan een kind van 12 vraagt wat ze later wil worden. Dat was bij mij evenmin zo. Ik deed aan sport en vond tekenen ook wel leuk, de normale hobby’s van een kind. Al was ik ook wel geïnteresseerd in architectuur en dat is minder gangbaar. Kwam ik afbeeldingen tegen van de architectuur van Victor Horta, dan was ik helemaal in de ban. Een vroege roeping, zo kan je het wel stellen.

“Women in Lighting” is an inspirational digital platform that profiles women working in the field of lighting design. It aims to promote their passion and achievements, narrate their career path and goals, celebrate their work and therefore help elevate their profile in the lighting community.

Sabine De Schutter will be speaking at TIDE in Amsterdam. In her talk “When lighting design meets design thinking” she will explain, how lighting designers are architects of atmosphere and the visual experience. In this role, how does one put people first when designing for the built environment? In her talk Sabine De Schutter will illustrate with examples, how her studio has been working to integrate the users' needs and how design thinking forms a crucial part of the working process.
